Our project partners include Indonesian government agencies and departments, an NGO with significant experience of engaging rural communities in Central Kalimantan and a partnership of five UK and three Indonesian universities.

Centre for International Cooperation in Sustainable Management of Tropical Peatland (UPT LLG-CIMTROP UPR) is a technical unit affiliated with the University of Palangka Raya.

Established in 1999, CIMTROP are specialists in peatland conservation and restoration in Central Kalimantan. Working in partnership with Indonesian government agencies, local and international universities and NGOs, they have conducted extensive research in the area.

Borneo Nature Foundation (BNF) is a not-for-profit conservation and research organisation working to protect critically endangered orangutans and their richly bio-diverse and globally important rainforest habitat on Borneo.

They partner with local stakeholders to implement landscape conservation strategies based on rigorous scientific research, and support communities to develop sustainable livelihoods that complement environmental protection.
